Arc-shaped substructure of fur felt, blocked over wooden form, padded and stiffened, draped over rigid hairband and sewn in place by hand; down removed from base of bleached goose feathers; feathers trimmed, sorted and shaped, individually coated with special binding agent, positioned evenly on the band so that a varnish-like surface is created.
