Hat couture for you: fascinator hats, elegant hats and exceptional headpieces
Our artistic and unique couture hats give that special outfit of yours a final, stylish touch. From the races at Ascot to an elegant garden party: sophisticated hats, extravagent headpieces or fascinators for a wedding are the crowning glory for any special occasion.
Fascinators are, at heart, very English – but have long been extremely popular on the heads of elegant women outside the British Isles. They are to be seen everywhere: at weddings, at sporting events and on festive occasions. That’s hardly surprising as this headwearcan transform the wearer’s style with ease and panache into something unique.
We are often asked: what exactly is a fascinator? Other than with a classic hat, a headpiece does not comprise an upper section and a brim. It is an artistically created open composition that is held in place by combs or a band. Fascinators from Nicki Marquardt are available in a wide range of shapes and colours: dainty or flamboyant, puristic or baroque, monochrome or colourful.
We design headwear from the whimsical to the avant-garde made of the most varied materials. Our fascinators’ silhouettes are unconventional and innovative. Take a look at our laced crowns and feathered floral bouquets, little top hats made of honeycomb tulle and spherical straw objects. The number of different materials we use reflects the breadth of our creativity. Delight in our sophisticated silks, gossamer veils, featherweight tulle, exquisite lace, the finest straw, genuine pearls, magnificent colourful feathers, sparkling Swarowski crystals, high-end felt and much more. We use only the very best materials and are happy to incorporate your individual wishes in the design and work process.
But it is not only our fascinators that can turn that next event into an occasion. Our couture hats are equally tasteful and attractive alternatives to make your appearance unforgettable – regardless of whether you are a guest at an elegant party or are invited to the races at Royal Ascot. One classical, elegant hat with a wide-brim and generous proportions is the cartwheel, as it is commonly known. Sporty headwear based on men’s hats such as the fedora and trilby can, of course, equally well be transformed into hats for festive occasions. Feminine hat shapes such as the bell or cloche-style creations from the 1920s are equally suitable as finishing touches to your outfit.

We design hats and fascinators for wedding guests and – of course – for the most important people of the day: the bride and groom! We make bridal veils in all lengths and variations as well as individual headpieces – and top hats for grooms to match their morning suits. Wedding veils and top hats are always made to measure. Please allow for enough time for the bespoke production of your headwear for your wedding – to match your dress and suit or in any conceivable colour.
